Sometimes, we forget that some of our club's members lead very interesting lives outside of Rotary. One such person is Gerry Joering who will be our featured speaker this week. As most of you know, Gerry is a retired airline pilot for the former Aloha Airlines. He loves most anything to do with planes and air travel, but especially, he loves aviation history. Gerry's topic will be "Pan American Clippers in Peace and War." He will be discussing the development of the Pacific routes during the mid-twentieth century and Pan Am's contribution to World War II. We all take for granted our flights across the Pacific Ocean today so come and find out about the airline that started it all.
